Salma & Hisham | Wedding

The historical steps at the University of Cape Town, leading up to the Jameson Hall used to be the hub of many heated political protests & debates and it would come as no surprise that it was on the “Jammie Steps” where Hisham accepted his greatest challenge – to win the heart of Salma, the twinkle in his eye, the blue in his sky, the beat of his heart, the love of his life.

“I told my friends that I like this girl called Salma.”

“Which Salma, they asked? If you are referring to the prettiest Indian girl on campus, forget about it, they said. She’s got seven brothers looking out for her. There is no way you’ll get past them.”

But like many others that have stood on these same steps, nothing was going to keep Hisham from his cause as victory belongs to the most persevering…

“Hisham told me that we’re going to a friend’s Birthday at UCT. When we arrived he had a table set up at the top of Jammie’s Stairs complete with supper, music, dessert & candle light.”

“When he got down on one knee and proposed I wanted to pause the moment and put it on repeat to relish in this joyful occasion over and over again as I didn’t want it to end or miss any precious little detail. It felt like the most romantic fairytale.”

A modern contemporary glass palace surrounded by magnificent scenery was to be the perfect place to celebrate their love amongst friends and family.
