Meet my family!

As a photographer, naturally I’m the one taking photos of my parents, my brother and my stunning sister-in-law, and you’ll have to swipe right to meet the little brother who’s got so much swag he needs a photo all on his own. He’s also single and yes, my mother is paying me to say that. 😄 #onlyhalfwayjoking

Fast forward, some sweet soul managed to get all the cousins, spouses & our little ones.

Family, friends, and loved ones... they’re arguably my most prized possession. The sum total of my happiness, my net worth, and my definition of success.

Yesterday I checked in on an order that I had placed on the 5th of March for some new journals which still hasn’t arrived.

Waiting on these are not out of the ordinary, as most of my prompted journals are international orders. Only this time I got tired of waiting. “There has to be an easier and quicker way of getting these“ I thought.

If you hang around me long enough you’ll know that one of my favourite quotes of all time is that “thoughts become things” and in this case, that thought became a product.

It brings me immense joy to let you all in on a little secret. I’m printing a journal.

What excites me most though, is the process. I can’t wait for you all to experience this with me. From an idea, to the cover designs, to the final product.

Who here also geeks out over journals, highlighters and notepads? 👩‍🏫

I miss Sunday service. The real thing. I miss the friendly volunteers in the car park, the smiles at the coffee counter, the smell of banana bread. The music, the team, and getting a minute to mingle.

If this season has taught me anything, it’s that life is unpredictable. Nothing is permanent and in the blink of an eye, everything can change.

Truly I tell you, the ability to accept whatever comes your way AND embrace it with a positive attitude, is a superpower.

So stop resisting and find the lesson.

Accept what is.
Ask “how can this be form me?”
Pivot and GO!
